CC 210 - Culture, Diversity, and Health Communication

This course interrogates the interplay between culture, diversity, and health communication, with the goal of training students to develop culturally competent health initiatives. Students will gain insight into how health communication shapes and is shaped by cultural and political complexities, and the multidimensional nature of health behaviors and communication. Topics include cultural behavioral theories, the definition and scope of health communication, and strategies for crafting health messages for diverse populations.
