CC 304 - Strategic Digital Communication

Credits: 4
This course explores the impact of web-based technology on various forms of communication. In an ever growing and changing digital world. The class prompts students to effectively use digital platforms for various reasons such as social networking and organizational development. It examines communication’s central role in online communities, aiming for students to master the use of information technology for impactful communication, social presence and cohesion. Topics include current events/concerns about digital communication as well as  the role of web-based technology in communication, how to build organizational structures online, and identifying best strategies for digital social presence. Students will also engage in project-based learning as they explore the intersections of technology and communication.

Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): One CC course at the 200-level
