Studies how disability is portrayed in the media (film, television, theatre, literature, advertising, journalism, and social media) relative to the realities of society. Examines the issue of disability as a culture and how disability intersects with gender, sexuality, race/ethnicity, class, country of origin, work, sex, family, health, and healthcare.
