IN 230 - Evolution of Queer Identity: History, Literature, and TheoryCredits: 4 Provides an introduction to the evolution of queer (gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender) identity and culture through historical and theoretical readings, literature, films, and audio/visual media. Explores the relationship between these fields and how they intertwine around complex questions of queer identity and cultural representation. Is homosexuality primarily a social construct, or is it something more innate? The course also considers the role of the arts in the queer liberation movement worldwide.
