IN 352 - History of Sex in the US in the 20th Century

Credits: 4
How have American mores, behaviors, laws, and culture associated with ”sex” including gender, sexuality, reproduction, and sexual health changed over time? The role of religion, politics, science, media, and social movements in shaping societal views of sex and sexuality in the U.S. - through periods of repression as well as those of sexual liberation - will be reviewed through an historical framework from the Colonial era to modern day. HE 202  Sexual Health and Society is strongly recommended.
