JR 202 - Community News ReportingCredits: 4 Students learn to cover a community issue, developing and producing stories in text, audio, and video in a specific area in Boston. Lectures emphasize the role and function of major institutions in public life, from courts to city hall to Congress; basic public records and research; interviewing; and story origination. Students must develop stories of interest to community members inclusive of all voices on the issue. Examples can include public safety, housing, education and demographical changes and its impacts on the community.
