VM 415 - Seminar in Professional, Curatorial, or Museum PracticesCredits: 4 Exposes students to a range of practical, professional, and theoretical concerns that define the fine art, curatorial, and museum professions. Curriculum may blend both academic and experimental research with career discussion/exploration. Students develop communication, writing, research, and problem-solving skills through assignments, hands-on workshops, and field trips. Topics may include: Curatorial Studies, Exhibition Management, Professional Practice for Fine Artists, Museum Education, and Museology.
Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): VM 210, VM 211, VM 212, VM 213, VM 214, VM 215, VM 216 or VM 217 Course Restrictions: Junior standing Liberal Arts Perspective(s): Note(s): Visual Arts Course. May be repeated for credit if topics differ. Foundations Requirement(s):
