PS 208 - More Than a Feeling: Exploration in Human Emotion

Credits: 4
This course will explore human emotion using diverse theoretical and empirical perspectives. We will examine a variety of questions related to emotion, including: What are our emotions? Why do we feel the way we do? How do our emotions shape how we think and act toward others? When do emotions create social connection, and when do they create social disconnection? How can emotions undermine or enhance our own and others’ well-being? We will foster this exploration by drawing on research, clinical psychology, and affective neuroscience.
