IN 363 - AI: Critical and Creative Explorations

Credits: 4
This course provides a foundation in AI fundamentals while fostering critical thinking and creativity. Through rigorous analyses and hands-on projects, students engage with generative AI tools and various machine learning applications, dissecting their capabilities and limitations within the art and cultural sectors as well as examining their risks and broader societal implications. Students are introduced to critical studies of technology and perspectives from different disciplines to enable them to scrutinize the politics, worldviews, and logics underlying AI systems, preparing them for informed engagement in a rapidly evolving AI-infused world.
