VM 357 - Mix PilotCredits: 1 non-tuition Mix Pilot participants will receive training in how to use the state of the art audio mixing facilities at Emerson and participate in a series of workshops designed to supplement existing course offerings. These workshops will focus on topics in audio post-production including critical listening, post-production workflows, accessibility, industry standards, and deliverables. After the initial workshops, this co-curricular will continue as an informal critique group, offering participants the opportunity to present in-progress work, receive feedback, and be mentored by collaborating faculty members and studio staff in a collaborative, peer-drive context. This co-curricular will also provide soundtrack support for BA and BFA projects and foster collaboration between sound designers and filmmakers.
Course Restrictions: Sophomore status or above Liberal Arts Perspective(s): Note(s): Only 4 non-tuition credits may be used toward graduation. Course is graded Pass/Fail and does not count toward any major, minor, or Liberal Arts requirement.
