PB 622 - Publishing for and by Women

Examines the presses, magazines, newsletters, and other platforms that create content directed at women. Students explore the history of these publishers and their current positions in the marketplace, and critique how successfully they promote equity and inclusion and incorporate race, class, and other identities. Finally, students assess the value of gender-focused content and examine the ways nonbinary people are or are not served.
