TH 121 - Improvisation and Acting Fundamentals

Credits: 4
This course introduces performance majors to the craft of improvisation, developing listening skills, behaving truthfully in imagined given circumstances, and being vulnerable and responsive in the present moment. These skills are then applied to building the foundation necessary for more intermediate scene work. Students apply fundamental acting concepts to improvisations, open scenes, basic contemporary scene work, and monologues.
