TH 142 - Electrics ICredits: 4 This course introduces students to the fundamental technical practices of theatrical electrics, providing hands-on experience with stage lighting technology and electrical systems used in live performance. Students will explore key concepts such as cabling and control, fixture types and functions, power distribution, and theatrical electrics safety. Through practical exercises and lab work, students will learn to properly hang, circuit, and focus lighting instruments while developing essential troubleshooting skills. By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in stage electrics, preparing them for more advanced coursework and on-site production work.
