TH 427 - Musical Theatre Core VII - Pop Styles

Advanced BFA Musical Theatre course designed to familiarize the students with a variety of genres and styles of American Popular Music with a focus on performance and interpretation for the stage. Students will synthesize core acting and singing techniques to create specific and stage-worthy contexts for performance as well as stylistically appropriate vocal interpretations. Course culminates in a curricular presentation of solo and group numbers. As part of the Musical Theatre major core, this course includes vocal instruction.
