TH 139 - Drafting I

This introductory course provides students with the fundamental drafting techniques and standards as they apply to theatrical design. Through hands-on practice, students will develop essential skills in drafting principles, ground plans, sections, elevations, orthographic projection, isometric drawing, and scale representation. Emphasis will be placed on creating accurate technical drawings that effectively communicate design ideas to the production team. By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in drafting for the stage and be prepared to advance to more complex digital drafting techniques.
