CC 353 - Legal Argument and Advocacy

Credits: 4
Examines how lawyers construct and respond to legal arguments. Students read and discuss judicial opinions, constitutional provisions, and statutes and engage in role-playing exercises, written assignments, oral presentations, and discussion of legal arguments within the context of advocacy. As a central component of the class, students prepare and present legal arguments concerning timely issues of Constitutional law to a mock appellate court.
