IN 366 - Global Cities: Berlin

Since the 19th century, no other capital in Europe has experienced the wide variety of rapid‬ changes in politics, economy, in the visual arts, film, and theater, and in its physical‬ appearance than the city of Berlin. In this interdisciplinary course students will learn through‬ the study of history, the visual arts, literature, and film how Berlin in every decade of the 20‬‭th‬ and 21‬‭st‬ century wrote history.
