VM 419 - Diasporic CinemaCredits: 4 This seminar examines cinema and identity through the lenses of migration and diaspora. It explores histories of border-crossing as well as discourses of belonging and hybridity. Through the analysis of key works of diasporic auteurs, in this seminar we will consider the formations as well as theories of diasporas and identities as well as issues surrounding positionality/intersectionality, queer migration and digital diaspora.
