PB 316 - Undergraduate Students for Publishing Co-CurricularCredits: 1 non-tuition Undergraduate Students for Publishing (Pub Club), launched in 2006, aims to educate students by providing professional publishing experience. To achieve this, the executive board runs numerous events, including panels with industry professionals, skills-based workshops, and career-oriented meetings that teach members publishing vocabulary, give them resources on the publishing world, and keep them aware of the current industry events. The organization also houses an imprint, Wilde Press, which publishes two student-written manuscripts every semester and functions closely to a real-world press to teach students through hands-on application. Everyone is invited to work on these projects regardless of experience level. The organization also publishes a genre-fiction literary magazine (Generic) each semester and regular digital articles (the Blog).
Liberal Arts Perspective(s): Note(s): Only 4 non-tuition credits may be used toward graduation. Course is graded Pass/Fail and does not count toward any major, minor, or Liberal Arts requirement. Foundations Requirement(s):
