EC 203 - Principles of Economics

Credits: 4
This course introduces and focuses on the essential concepts and principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics. Microeconomics studies the allocation of resources under scarcity through decisions made by individual consumers and firms, incorporating the interventions of governments that make markets more or less efficient. Macroeconomics extends the focus to the overall economy to study national production and growth, inflation, unemployment and the role of governments in determining economic growth and well-being.
