CC 351 - Road to the White House: Nominating Phases

Credits: 4 credits

Provides students with a step-by-step understanding of how a person is nominated, by the Democratic or Republican party, for President. Whether a student’s career ambition is to work on a political campaign or to work for a news media organization covering a campaign, this course walks students through the history of the Presidential nominating process and into the election underway during the semester in which the course is being held. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to have an in-depth practical and theoretical understanding of the Presidential nominating contests. (Semester varies)
