PDE 100 - Professional Development ExperienceCredits: 1 credit The 1-credit Professional Development Experience (PDE) is designed to provide students with an option for experiential learning. The PDE should be 2-12 weeks in length and a minimum of 50 hours.
Prerequisite(s)/Course Restrictions: Students must have completed 2 semesters in college with at least one at Emerson, a 2.7 GPA or above, completion of the Internship Experience Workshop offered through Career Development, submission of the Internship Application in Handshake, and permission of the PDE 100 Internship Coordinator are required prior to starting the Professional Development Experience. Note(s): Students may use no more than 13 credits of any combination of PDE 100 Professional Development Experience and internship credits towards the total graduation requirements. No more than 2 PDE credits may be applied to the total graduation requirements. Course is graded Pass/Fail and does not count toward any major, minor, or Liberal Arts requirement. Students seeking a credit-bearing internships in Los Angeles during the fall and spring terms must be enrolled in the Emerson Los Angeles Program, attend the LA Program Orientation, and have their internship submitted to and approved by the Emerson Los Angeles Experiential Learning office.
