JR 497 - Directed Project in JournalismCredits: 2 or 4 In a directed project, students work closely with a faculty supervisor in designing and carrying out an academic project for credit. Directed projects may not duplicate existing courses.
Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): JR 202 , JR 216 , JR 217 , JR 219 or JR 221 Course Restrictions: Junior standing and 3.0 GPA Liberal Arts Perspective(s): Note(s): Completion of the Undergraduate Directed Study/Project Contract that includes permission of the instructor and department chair are required prior to the end of the examination period of the preceding semester. No more than 8 credits of any combination of directed projects and directed studies may be counted towards graduation requirements.. The College cannot guarantee logistical support for such projects, and equipment and facilities may need to be procured at the student’s expense. Foundations Requirement(s):
