In this minor students will explore how the processes of science build understanding of topics ranging from molecules to human biology to environmental science. A central theme of the minor is that scientific disciplines are connected or integrated, through shared methods, concepts, and processes of communication. Students may pursue a minor in Integrated Sciences to satisfy curiosity about how science builds understanding of the natural world, to hone approaches for acquiring reliable knowledge, and to inform interests in science as content and context for media-making.
The minor requires a minimum of four courses, 16 credits, two of which must be taken at Emerson. The Integrated Sciences minor must include at least one science course at the 300 level.
