The undergraduate faculty of the School of the Arts is committed to the following learning objectives for the BFA in Comedic Arts program:

Students will:

• Analyze, compare and contrast the ways diverse cultures are represented as well as how they express themselves in the comedic arts.

• Practice multiple ways of experiencing, critiquing and responding in oral and written forms to comedic genres, styles and applications.

• Study the history, theory, and ethics of comedy.

• Find, develop, and hone their individual comedic voice.

• Practice how to write and perform comedy collaboratively.

• Examine the methods of how comedy is created in film, television, online, and on the stage.

• Write, perform, and produce comedy in one or more styles or genres
