The undergraduate faculty of Performing Arts is committed to the following learning objectives for the BFA in Stage and Production Management program.
Students will:
- Demonstrate an ability to read and analyze a play from the perspective of a stage manager.
- Learn about and understand the overall theatrical production process through the creation of a production script.
- Learn about all areas of theatrical production in order to communicate effectively with the various artists and teams of a theatrical production, and be able to contribute to the collaborative process.
- Learn the principles, practices, and artistic craft of stage management.
- Learn how to serve as stage managers and assistant stage managers and will demonstrate their abilities on a professional theatrical production.
