This interdisciplinary minor aims to provide students with critical and postcolonial understandings of our complex, globalized world. Students will engage with knowledge systems, cultural productions, and histories marginalized and/or transformed by the colonial encounter. They will broaden their conception of the global in their lives cultivating an awareness of how those marginalizations and transformations continue to impact the present.
The required core course is IN 203 : Postcolonial Cultures or IN 213 : Introduction to Global Studies. The remaining 12 credits are chosen from the following courses, at least one of which must be at the 300 or 400 level:
