The undergraduate faculty of the School of the Arts is committed to the following learning objectives for the BFA in Comedic Arts program:
Students will:
- Be able to engage with the world at multiple levels through comedy.
- Develop an appreciation of all the various manifestations of comedy including genre, style, and applications.
- Gain an appreciation of the history, theory, and ethics of comedy.
- Find, develop, and hone their individual comedic voice.
- Learn how to write and perform comedy collaboratively.
- Gain an understanding of the ways comedy may be produced: in film, television, online, and on the stage.
- Be able to write, perform, and produce comedy in one or more styles or genres

Degree Requirements for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Comedic Arts
Comedic Arts Core: 32 credits
Choose three of the following Writing, Production and Performance classes (12 credits):

Additional Courses
In addition to the Liberal Arts and major requirements, all students are required to complete at least two courses at the 300 or 400 level from the following Liberal Arts areas: 8 credit |
