CC 344 - Social MovementsCredits: 4 This course delves deep into social movements, offering a comprehensive examination of their origins, development, and protest tactics/strategies. The class also heavily explores how communication and rhetoric operate within the field of social movements. Exploring theories ranging from communication and sociology to political science, this course allows students to critically evaluate the dynamics and impacts of social movements- both past and present. Throughout the semester, topics include specific movements such as disability justice, feminism and queer advocacy, and the factors that influence their trajectories.
