TH 622 - Principles of Acting

This introductory course has the dual objectives of developing students’ abilities as actors and as coaches and teachers of acting in either classroom or rehearsal settings. Skills in improvisation and in working with scripted material are honed, and attention is given to movement and voice as a part of the acting process. Also explores how and when to use these techniques, particularly with adolescent actors.
