BC 111 - Creative Collaboration and LeadershipCredits: 4 Students explore the theory and practice of collaboration, co-elevation, leadership, creativity, dealing with failure and problem solving with respect to specific types of group collaboration and roles within the creative enterprise. Through hands-on learning activities, readings, and interactions with guest speakers, this course offers students experiences and techniques to increase their collaborative skillset as well as personal and group creativity. With a focus on themes of communication, creative thinking, participation, negotiation and compromise, feedback, empathy, and inclusion, students examine, practice and reflect on various models of creative collaboration and work collaboratively throughout the semester. Coursework includes individual reflection on the reading, and several collaborative team projects.
