CD 403 - Speech ScienceCredits: 4 Presents core concepts and terminology for scientific principles relating to physiological processes in speech production and the acoustic features of speech production sounds and perception. Acoustic phonetics is emphasized, including the physics of sound and inferences about voicing, resonance, and manners of articulation features of speech sounds from sound spectrograms. Students have exposure to instrumentation for acoustic analysis.
