Providing geographical and historical coverage as well as theoretical frameworks, these interdisciplinary courses examine contemporary issues in postcolonial and global studies through local, national, and regional contexts. Courses focus on such issues as globalization, cultural production, politics and power, multiculturalism and identity, and migration and immigration. Past topics include: Race, Class, and Culture in South Africa; and Borders in Contemporary Latin America.
