TH 470 - Design in Practice TopicsCredits: 4 In this advanced course of study, students develop the required practical skills necessary for the design and execution of a theatrical production design. Students further develop the ability to analyze a script, song, or score and translate the ideas therein into visual images. They learn to move a design from concept to completion under the actual “in theatre” conditions, while still maintaining a safe, constructive learning environment. They put into actual practice the equipment, methods, procedures, and skills necessary to implement a successful design. May be repeated for credit if topics differ with permission of the department. Students are expected to provide appropriate materials as needed.
Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): First-level design class depending on topic.
