VM 133 - Foundations ColloquiumCredits: 4 The colloquium and associated workshops are designed to provide first-year VMA students with an orientation to the diversity of study possible within the field and the department. In the colloquium, students have the opportunity to engage with a working artist and their classmates to explore the department’s conceptual focuses. In the workshops, students learn to employ technology, concepts and techniques safely, creatively and ethically in a manner that respects all members of a collaborative creative group and society.
