JR 253 - Law and Ethics for JournalistsCredits: 4 Examines and considers journalists’ rights as well as legal and ethical responsibilities. Reviews the American legal system and its relationship to the press while studying case law that sets legal limits for journalists. Covers basic structure and processes of federal and state courts. Relates professional standards and legal limits in determining ethical responsibilities. Examines ethical-decision making and current ethical questions using case studies.
