The undergraduate faculty of the School of the Arts is committed to the following learning objectives for the BFA in Comedic Arts program:
Students will:

Analyze, compare and contrast the ways diverse cultures are represented as well as how they express themselves in the comedic arts.

Practice multiple ways of experiencing, critiquing and responding in oral and written forms to comedic genres, styles and applications.

Study the history, theory, and ethics of comedy.

Find, develop, and hone their individual comedic voice.
-
Practice how to write and perform comedy collaboratively.
-
Examine the methods of how comedy is created in film, television, online, and on the stage.
-
Write, perform, and produce comedy in one or more styles or genres

Degree Requirements for Bachelor of Fine Arts in Comedic Arts
Comedic Arts Core: 32 credits
Choose three of the following Writing, Production and Performance classes (12 credits):

In addition to the Liberal Arts and major requirements, all students are required to complete at least two courses at the 300 or 400 level from the following Liberal Arts areas: 8 credit |
